The Municipal Swimming Complex is an aquatic facility on São Miguel Island. It's located in the town of Lagoa, very close to the city of Ponta Delgada, the capital of the island. Due to its location and accessibility, this place is highly visited by both tourists and locals, especially on summer days.

The Municipal Swimming Complex usually opens from 9:00 am to 7:30 pm every day of the week. However, we recommend verifying the hours before visiting, as they may vary throughout the year. Prices also vary depending on age or the time of day you visit, but they are always very affordable (between €1 and €3).

 

For those who prefer natural pools with free access near Ponta Delgada, it's important to mention that in the same town of Lagoa, you can also enjoy the Zona Balnear do Cruzeiro, a natural unsupervised area with crystal-clear pools that are freely accessible.
